ella forums are delighted to announce that we have recently launched a new group in the City of Leeds, West Yorkshire. This precedes further growth in the North with new groups planned to open in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham by January 2017.
We are also currently in the process of developing a new approach to engendering growth in the third sector; this is through the creation of groups specifically for start-up and pre start-up organisations and entrepreneurs. We aim aim to help young new concepts live past the early months of their existence and into productive, sustainable business delivery via effective and practical leadership practices.
ella forums are currently running this approach as a pilot project in the Wirral, Merseyside with the findings of this period being used to inform similar practices in other parts of the country.
The new Leeds group is supported by the Enterprise Foundation through the provision of accessible meeting and conference rooms, as well as offering their local knowledge of third sector organisations in and around the Leeds area. Members of the group already include Bizenko Social Enterprise (bizenko.co.uk), the William Merritt Disabled Living Centre (wmdlc.org.uk), and of course the Enterprise Foundation (enterprisefoundation.net). The Leeds group meets on the last Thursday of each month at The Enterprise Foundation, Third Floor, Symons House, Belgrave Street, Leeds, LS2 8DD.
The new groups starting over the coming months, currently include Derby (October), Leicester (September) and Nottingham (January).
